            This commission develops programs designed to reach out to the unchurched as well as to inactive Catholics.

Legion of Mary

            The Legion of Mary is a worldwide organization of the lay apostolate, in which Catholic men, women and youth sanctify themselves through prayer and apostolic work in union with Our Lady under the guidance of a priest. One must apply to the priest for membership. There is a 1½ hour weekly meeting and 2 hours of apostolic work such as visiting the sick, visiting fallen away Catholics, teaching catechism, conducting a parish discussion group, taking a parish census, operating a pamphlet rack, and encouraging Catholics to send their children to religious education.

            The Korean group meets on Sundays 9:30-10:45. If you are interested, contact Anna Suk Yu at 698-6795. We are looking to form a group among the English-speaking parishioners.

Apologetics (Jim Potts)

            The apologetics group meets every first Saturday after the 9:00 am Mass. Please come and learn about your Catholic faith! Be prepared to “explain the cause of joy” and share your faith and knowledge with those less informed.
